Every year HALO is invited to perform at Mizzou’s Fall Fest event on campus.
It’s an mix between performance and activity’s mart (which is basically the tabling of organizations equipped with fliers and information, sometimes candy). Fall Fest is a weird name for this event, mostly because of its nature… the event is dedicated to bringing together minority organizations on Mizzou’s campus to kick off the year. The Black Greeks headline the performances with stepping and other dance variations, so being able to perform is a huge honor for HALO.
Every year the the dance group is typically made up mostly of freshman new to the club and its senior members. I performed a long time ago when I was a freshman, and remember it as being really scary and exciting at the same time. It’s great way of making friends and getting to meet other people on campus.
